Job Description

Our Hereford based client is seeking an Inventory Administrator to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for all administrative tasks required to support inventory control and relief administrative cover to despatch, customer services and purchasing. This is a hands-on role, you will be required to work across the office, production shopfloor and warehouse departments to fulfil the inventory management duties. You can expect: * Salary: £23,810 per annum * Working hours: Monday – Thursday (7:30am – 4pm), Friday (7:30am – 12:30pm) * Office based with parking on site * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Pension: 6% company contribution What you will be doing: * Provides training and ongoing coaching to support the Stores teams on inventory management * Ensures availability of lineside materials for weekly production plans * Full understanding of stock control and amendments, checking stock levels on the system, investigating any discrepancies and escalating to Supply Chain Manager, as applicable * Monitors Working Capital levels and drives stock control initiatives to meet Working Capital targets * Manages the daily cycle count process * Analyse cycle count data and implement necessary corrective actions to improve stock accuracy * Provide weekly and monthly KPI data * Provide administrative support to cover absence, holiday and high demand periods in despatch, customer services, and purchasing departments: to include * Create and prioritise daily picking * Interpret incoming orders against pallet requirement and notifying customers * Complete documentation and arrange booking times for deliveries, where applicable * Provide customers with pre-advice delivery notes, manifests, and confirmation of items along with pallet counts * Manage telephone and email correspondence * Sales and purchase order processing and administration * General data entry * Supports all continuous improvement initiatives as applicable * Any other reasonable task, as requested by Supply Chain Manager What we are looking for: * Experience in a logistics administration and inventory control background, ideally within a manufacturing company * Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills * Good level of both written and verbal English language * Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines * PC literate, proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, and ideally ERP system experience * Flexible in approach, including working hours on occasions * Willing to undergo training, as and when required Recruitment Direct Leominster Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
