Job Type: Temporary to permanent
Salary: £12.31-£12.56
Start Date: ASAP
Working hours:(Apply online only) Mon-Thurs, (Apply online only) Fri
(1-hour unpaid break Monday-Thursday, 30 minutes on a Friday)
We are actively recruiting for someone with both a strong IT and manual background for the role of IT Hardware and Software Technician for a market-leading bio-metric access control and workforce management solution provider. This Role will include the use of hand tools and can be dexterous at times.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and set up hardware to meet operational and client-specific requirements.
Assist with assembly of electrical equipment and associated brackets
Install and configure software across various platforms
Test and prepare products (Routers, CCTV, PCs) for deployment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for returned products
Accurately log issues related to networking, hardware, or software.
Communicate effectively with all departments and Management as needed.
Collaborate closely with the Order Preparation and Stores teams.
Support with ad-hoc tasks as required.Skills and Qualifications
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of IT hardware (PCs, routers, peripherals).
Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for IT and technology.
Basic knowledge of CCTV equipment (training provided).
