Job Description
I am currently seeking a Junior Estimator for work with a specialist steelwork and architectural metalwork contractor based in Basildon (Essex). This role is open to a contract or a permanent position for the right candidate.
This role would include but not be limited to the below
Assist in the preparation and analysis of detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to understand project requirements.
Perform quantity take-offs and material lists for various construction trades.
Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors.
Support senior estimators in preparing bid proposals and presentations.
Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and correspondence.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and feasibility of estimates.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.The Ideal Candidate will have
Experience as a Junior Estimator or similar
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
