Job Description
Class 1 are currently recruiting for a handful of Kitchen Porter 's to work with us at a prestigious 5-day event in Ascot.
Experience is necessary as this will be a busy, high demanding environment and we are keen to provide some incredible opportunities for those looking to work with us for an annual sporting, hospitality and catering event.
As a Kitchen Porter you will be required to either work on your own or independently, depending on the hospitality and catering kitchen you are assigned to work in for the full 5 days.
You must be available to work the full 5 days between 17th - 21st June with timings varying from 8am-11am starts and finishing around 8pm-10pm.
Your duties and responsibility will range depending on the kitchen set up you are working in however, it will include but be not limited too:
- Washing up by hand pots, crockery, cutlery and glassware
- Using kitchen level equipment to wash volume
- Ordering and tidying the kitchen for both chefs and kitchen management
- Mopping, spraying and keeping all surfaces clean and tidy at convenient times
- Manual lifting transporting of goods from one location to another
- Monitoring slips and ensuring safety of the area of work
- Working with chefs and management to ensure that you're assisting with any additional requirements requested
This is a physical job, with the shift we are recruiting for Kitchen Porter to work on their feet for long hours in one go.
You must ensure you are equipped for these conditions.
Food and drink will be provided for each day of work and free parking is available on site in Ascot, a short walk away from where you will be working.
Your uniform is all black with safety shoes/steel toe cap boots.
We will provide free training online as part of this role which will issue you a globally recognised qualification in Health and Safety Level 2, Food Allergens and Food Safety Level 2.
