Primary Teacher KS2 (Maternity Cover) Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary Location: Portsmouth Pay: £160 to £250 dependent on experience* Start Date: September ’25 to August ’26 - Fixed term   What’s the job? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join this vibrant primary school. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our pupils. Excellent communicator. Creative, patient, empathetic nature. Enthusiastic about working with young children. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2. Experience teaching in a primary school setting. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. What are your responsibilities? Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and encouraging active participation. Ensure pupil safety and well-being, supporting their social and emotional development. Engage in ongoing professional development and apply best practices to improve teaching. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support individual goals. Build strong relationships with parents, providing progress updates and attending meetings.
