We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary team from May 2025.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with class teachers, supporting children across Key Stage 2 to achieve their best in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Duties as a KS2 Teaching Assistant:
Support teaching and learning across the KS2 curriculum, including English, maths, and topic work.
Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and display.
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted intervention.
Support the behaviour and emotional wellbeing of pupils in line with school policy.
Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
Support enrichment activities, trips, and wider school events as needed.
Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant:
Have experience working with children, ideally in a KS2 setting.
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable.
Be confident supporting learning in core subjects.
Demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills as a KS2 Teaching Assistant.
Be flexible, reliable, and a proactive team player.
Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
