Making a Difference: Adults Social Worker - Learning Disabilities and Autism Team (Barnsley)
Are you a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in Barnsley.
About the Role:
Provide specialist social work support to adults with learning disabilities and autism, promoting their independence, well-being, and inclusion within the community.
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop person-centered care plans tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
Collaborate effectively with individuals, their families, carers, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Advocate for individuals' rights and access to appropriate services and support.
Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment focused on best practice and positive change.
Requirements:
Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a Social Worker.
Significant experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism is essential.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and case management skills. Experience with challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
Commitment to person-centered care and ethical practice.
