We are seeking a Lead Cloud Security Architect to play a pivotal role in enhancing the security of critical digital services for NHS Wales. As a key member of our team, you will use your expertise to lead complex, high-impact projects, ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative security solutions.
Your Role:
* Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud security architectures across multiple projects.
* Act as the primary security authority, providing strategic security advice to senior stakeholders and mentoring a team of security professionals.
* Drive the development of security strategies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring they align with organisational goals.
* Conduct security assessments, lead risk management activities, and develop mitigation strategies for complex technical challenges.
* Lead the technical design of secure systems, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
* Stay ahead of emerging security trends, applying your knowledge to improve our security posture.
What You Will Bring:
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* A Master’s degree in an associated professional field (or equivalent qualification/experience).
* Industry-recognised qualification in cloud security architecture.
* Experience in reviewing security configurations within an operational IT service delivery role in a large, complex programme.
* Experience in defining and designing Cyber security requirements for IT systems aligned with organisational objectives.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
* Chartered IT Professional (CITP) or equivalent professional registration.
* FEDIP Practitioner or equivalent recognised Intermediate Professional qualification.
* Ability to review and evaluate emerging security technologies.
* Strong understanding of human factors in security and their impact on digital adoption.
* Ability to align security initiatives with business goals for measurable improvements.
