About the Role:
A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Leyton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to helping children-especially those with special educational needs (SEN)-flourish both in their learning and personal growth.
Your Key Responsibilities:
✅ Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
✅ Assisting in the delivery of engaging, tailored activities to inspire and motivate learners.
✅ Supporting children's emotional well-being and fostering positive social interactions.
✅ Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement and review EHCPs.
✅ Adapting resources to meet individual learning styles and needs.
✅ Helping to maintain a calm, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
✅ Supervising pupils during break and lunchtimes as required.
What You'll Bring:
✔ Experience working with children, ideally in a primary or SEND setting.
✔ A passion for education and a commitment to helping every child succeed.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✔ Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the needs of different learners.
✔ A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
✔ An Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willingness to obtain one)Before You Apply
