We have an exciting opportunity for a SEND Learning Support Assistant at outstanding high school in Salford.
The basics:
SEND Learning Support Assistant at special needs high school in Salford.
Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
Starting ASAP.
Full time & long term - could go perm eventually for right person.
£95-105/day DOE, for first 12 weeks of placement.
Equal pay to perm staff in same role from 13th week onwards.
Paid PAYE via Now Education, we don't use umbrella companies!
Easily accessed by tram, train or bus.
What you'll do:
* Provide 1:1, small group & whole class support to all pupils including those with additional needs such as Autism, Learning Needs, Sensory Needs or Challenging Behaviours.
* You will need to be adaptable and able to change your approach to each pupil.
* Use positive reinforcement & behaviour management techniques.
* Contribute to an safe, fun & inclusive classroom environment.
* Work with the class teacher, SENCO, SLT, parents and outside professionals.
* Report on behaviours, incidents and disclosures to the DSL.

What we need from you:
* Up to date CV with a full education and work history.
* Proof of Right to Work & Proof of Address in the UK.
* A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
* At least 2 professional references.
* Overseas Police Check if applicable.
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, SEN Learning Support Assistant, Special Needs, LSA etc.
* A proactive, empathetic and hard-working approach is a must!
