Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough Common, Orpington, Kent, BR6 8ND
Start Date: Monday 20 May 2025
Pay Rate: £23.16 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Type: Temporary (3 months, with potential to become permanent)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 start
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the estates and facilities team at Princess Royal University Hospital in Orpington. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a leading healthcare environment as part of a planned maintenance programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical repairs
Ensuring all work is completed in line with compliance and health and safety standards
Responding to urgent maintenance issues as directed by the Electrical Manager
Participating in a 1-in-5 week call-out rota
Working collaboratively with internal teams to maintain a safe and functional environment for staff and patients
Essential Requirements:
ECS Gold Card
City and Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance
Valid Emergency First Aid at Work certification
Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one
Must live within one hour's commute of the hospital site
Additional Information:
This is a temporary role with an immediate start date. There is potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate based on performance.
