Company benefit scheme (Perkbox)We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Essex plant. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continued smooth running of plant operations.
This role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, and you'll be working on a continental shift pattern to maintain the facility's high standards of operation. Your practical, hands-on approach will be key to supporting our production teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
Maintain and manage PPM schedules, ensuring that work procedures are followed, and continuous improvement activities are carried out
Respond to faults and breakdowns promptly, diagnosing and rectifying issues to minimise production downtime
Ensure equipment safety by identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate actions to address unsafe working conditionsExperience and Qualifications Required:
Electrically biased with strong mechanical skills, or mechanically biased with electrical qualifications
Experience working with PLCs and inverter drives is advantageous
