Job Description
Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing operation of all company equipment, through routine maintenance, repair of breakdowns and installation of new equipment and tools. The company expertise in steel manufacturing and steel construction.
Maintenance Engineer details
* Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000
* Day Shifts Monday to Friday
Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities
* Routine and Breakdown Maintenance of the Three roll-forming Mill Lines & Hydraulic Press, Band saws & Weld sets and all ancillary tools.
* Ensure the equipment & the site are maintained efficiently including documenting of checks.
* Liaise with external contractors for Hydraulic, Electrical and mechanical work as required.
* Carry out general facilities maintenance as required.
* Carry out basic electrical repairs.
* To assist the Operations Manager with new tool development & maintenance, including trials and testing.
* Liaise with the Production Manager to purchase external services, spare parts & troubleshooting on all equipment when required.
Required Maintenance Engineer Experience
* A Technical competence in electrical and hydraulic maintenance preferably from a roll forming background.
* Ability to understand hydraulic and basic electrical circuits
* Problem solving on production and all ancillary Equipment.
* General Maintenance
* Ability to provide cover as a roller / setter operator would be extremely advantageous.
* Full Driving license required.
