Experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician (electrical skills biased) required to join a world-leading aluminium extrusion business. Your role as Maintenance Technician will be to provide total Engineering/Maintenance support across all aspects of site location, support key stakeholders with engineering support to achieve KPI’s and provision of service to all internal & external customers all-in 24-hour environment
Successful candidate for the position of Maintenance Technician will possess a recognised apprenticeship in Engineering or City & Guilds /NVQ qualification with relevant experience and EITB Multi Skilled or ONC/HNC in Electrical/Mechanical/Process Engineering discipline, good level of MS Office and IT competence, be a good communicator and MUST be available to fulfil 3 shift split rotation. Offered as a permanent contract with competitive rate of pay plus shift allowance and extensive benefits package, the role of Maintenance Technician is available to start immediately.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Technician:
* Attend to all planned & unplanned work across a multi-disciplined arena – electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatic, process & PLC.
* Ensure that all Manufacturing Plant is maintained in line with targeted KPI’s and best practise methodologies
* Record & Report findings from investigations
* Provide flexibility for cover through holidays/training/absence
* Maintain & service all plant & equipment to agreed schedules
* Contribute to the EHS culture to create a healthy and risk-free working environment
* Commit to personal & team development through active engagement
* Apply Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement principles
* Responsible for Product Safety & Product Quality as defined by regulatory, company and local procedures
* Communicate issues in a timely manner through escalation of chain of command
* Adhere to all PPE requirements and promote this to co-workers
* Be aware of opportunities to reduce costs
* Participate in overtime as required and comply with all time and attendance targets
Qualifications/skills required by Maintenance Technician:
* ONC/HNC in Electrical/Mechanical/Process Engineering discipline OR
* A recognised apprenticeship in Engineering, or possesses City & Guilds /NVQ qualification with relevant experience and EITB Multi Skilled
* Broad Engineering experience preferred
* Good English skills both orally and written and excellent communicator
* Good level of MS office and IT competence. PLC would be distinct advantage
* Organised and structured way of working.

* Good work ethic and drive to complete work
* Ability to work without direct supervision.
* Right first-time outlook
* Driving Licence - preferable
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Hours: Weekly Rotating Shifts 6-2/2-10/10-6 – 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,484 to £42,581 p.a. (£17.06 per hour plus 20% shift allowance)
