Marketing Executive - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract - £26,000-£31,000 (DOE) + Hybrid Working + Flexitime + Healthcare Cash plan + 33 Days Annual Leave + Growing Market Leading Business!
The Company
We are working with a market leader who are experiencing significant growth. They have a clear path for future company growth and due to maternity leave are looking to add an Marketing Executive to their team at the Slough depot.
You will be joining a team of experienced industry professionals within the marketing/category department of a growing blue-chip business with an excellent brand reputation.
The Role
We are looking for a Marketing Executive to support the category plans and the creation of marketing campaigns designed to increase market share, drive revenue and support our customers’ growth plans. You’ll be tasked to support the team by creating and delivering innovative marketing plans, including ownership of the collateral assets, website, reviewing ranges, highlighting gaps and NPD.
You will work closely with the sales and commercial team along with our customers to develop your knowledge of the industry and become an expert in your field.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with the category, buying and sales teams within your category to develop and deliver an insight based category and marketing strategy to achieve category KPIs and overall commercial business strategy.
* Contribute to the category range reviews through data and insight gathering, completion of competitor reviews and lead any customer research requirements to ensure range is fit for customers and sales teams
* Maintain website ensuring all collateral is current, descriptions and images are accurate and relevant.
* Contribute to the range optimisation programme with product and range recommendations backed up with data analysis
* Identify and drive the right opportunities for both Own Brand and Branded to support the “Best of Both” proposition (Existing product strategies & NPD).
* Translate category strategy to execution and use your category and marketing knowledge to provide and communicate the assets for the B2B teams to execute effectively with sales & customers.
* Support the organisation and execution of the category strategy through internal and external events
What We Are Looking For
The Marketing Executive will ideally have experience in a similar role and be a forward-thinking individual with attention to detail.
Ideally you will be/have:
* Relevant Marketing qualification; Business/Marketing degree, CIM (not essential)
* Ideally have commercial experience in a marketing or category role or demonstrable experience copy writing and developing creating marketing campaigns
* Knowledge of developing insight driven marketing/project plans or proven experience of using insight to driven actions /decision making
* Experience of managing cross functional relationships
* Evidence of influencing and negotiating with different levels and teams
* Experience in budgetary planning and management
* Key behaviours and skills: Strong organisational and planning skills, decisive, consultative, commercial, creative, inspirational, challenging, leadership and results orientated
* Experience and knowledge in the Catering Supplies category would be an advantage but is not essential
