This company is seeking a skilled MATERIALS AND PROCESS LABORATORY ENGINEER to play a crucial role in ensuring their products meet the highest technical, cost, and reliability standards.
About the Role
As the MATERIALS AND PROCESS LABORATORY ENGINEER, you will be responsible for a wide-ranging assessment of materials, including metals, paints, adhesives, composites, and related processes. This is a hands-on role that will involve working with a variety of lab equipment and techniques, such as XRF, FTIR, SEM, and EDX.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting all aspects of the materials lab, including failure investigations, materials selection, and supply chain support
Reviewing first article inspection reports and conducting material inspection and characterisation
Generating or assessing compliance data, such as REACh and RoHS requirements
Preparing detailed reports and interpreting engineering drawings and specificationsWhat We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this MATERIALS AND PROCESS LABORATORY ENGINEER role will have:
Extensive experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment
Familiarity with assessing materials and components to established international standards, including DEF STANs
Knowledge of non-metallic material production and processing, including paints and adhesives
Strong background in materials chemistry and a keen eye for detail
