Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - East London Schools
Location: East London (Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Barking & Dagenham, and surrounding boroughs)
Position: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: GBP85-GBP100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

We are currently recruiting Maths Graduate Teaching Assistants for a number of welcoming and high-achieving secondary schools across East London. This role is perfect for aspiring teachers or graduates with a strong academic background in Mathematics.
About the Role:
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, youll work closely with the Maths department, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and occasionally KS5). Youll assist in delivering lessons, work with pupils who need extra support, and help raise attainment in maths.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support Maths teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
· Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for students who require additional help
· Assist with exam preparation, homework clubs, and enrichment activities
· Adapt resources and strategies for pupils with SEN, EAL, or low confidence in numeracy
· Encourage a positive, growth-focused attitude toward learning maths
Ideal Candidate:
· A recent Maths or STEM graduate (2:2 or above)
· Excellent communication and numeracy skills
· A passion for working with young people and helping them succeed
· Patient, proactive, and adaptable
· Previous experience in a school or with children is desirable but not essential
