A-Level Maths Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey, with a highly successful Sixth Form, requires a dedicated and experienced A-Level Maths Teacher to join their Mathematics department. This is a full-time, permanent position focused on delivering high-quality teaching at Key Stage 5, although some Key Stage 4 teaching may be involved.
Responsibilities:
The successful A-Level Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering challenging and engaging lessons that prepare students for success in A-Level Mathematics (and potentially Further Mathematics, depending on experience). You will foster a deep understanding of advanced mathematical concepts, develop students' problem-solving abilities, and provide rigorous assessment and feedback. Contributing to the A-Level curriculum and supporting students with university applications are key aspects of this A-Level Maths Teacher role.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) with a strong degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. Proven experience and a strong track record of successfully teaching A-Level Maths is essential. The ability to teach Further Mathematics would be an advantage. Excellent subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate ambitious students are required for this A-Level Maths Teacher position.
