Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will function as Lead Mechanical Engineer on projects and will provide direction and assistance to Mechanical Engineers & Piping Designers working on facility Mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical engineering efforts on projects, including directing engineers and piping designers.
*
Design process piping and ductwork systems, including routing, sizing, materials selection, and support design.
*
Develop P&IDs and evaluate specifications for mechanical systems and process equipment.
*
Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical engineers, vendors, and fabrication teams.
*
Oversee and review drawing packages using AutoCAD (60%, 95%, IFB, IFC stages).
*
Specify and solicit quotations for equipment and unitized system components.
*
Assist in material take-offs and fabrication planning.
*
Participate in system installation and startup, both domestically and internationally.
*
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to early-phase project estimates and site evaluations.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
*
4+ years of mechanical engineering experience
*
EIT registration (preferred)
*
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and system drafting
*
Experience with piping fabrication, pumps, HVAC, and mechanical support systems
*
Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
*
Willingness to travel up to 30% for installations/startups
*
Valid driver's license (for commuting between office locations)Before You Apply
