Job Description
A leading main contractor that operates across Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe, and specialises in the delivery of complex pharmaceutical, data centre, commercial and petrochemical infrastructure, is actively recruiting a Mechanical Engineer in Finland.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of large-scale mechanical systems on fast-paced data centre projects. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical engineering packages from concept through to commissioning
* Oversee design coordination between consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and specifications
* Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and liaise with suppliers
* Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning
* Monitor progress, cost, and quality, reporting to project management
* Provide mentoring and technical leadership to junior engineers
Key requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* Experience in mechanical engineering, ideally with exposure to data centre or mission-critical projects
* Proven track record working for main contractors or large MEP firms
* Deep understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC etc
* Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach
* Willingness to travel or relocate for project-based work
