Job Description
We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join a specialist manufacturer in Glossop.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, where you’ll be a key player in keeping operations running smoothly.
What’s on offer?
* £35,000 - £40,000 per year
* Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
* 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?
* Performing mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment
* Installing and modifying pipework, valves, and mechanical systems
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults to minimise downtime
* Following planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and responding to breakdowns
* Servicing and maintaining a range of pumps and other mechanical components
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
What do you need?
* Experience as a Mechanical Fitter
* Strong knowledge of pipework installation, pumps, and mechanical repairs
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and equipment maintenance
* Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (or time-served experience)
