Key Responsibilities:
Performing maintenance and refitting tasks
Conducting regular inspections to ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems
Disassembling and reassembling various mechanical components
Using technical manuals and schematics to identify and rectify mechanical issues
Working closely with engineering teams to implement effective solutions
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety and security regulations
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
Operating within a high-security environment, adhering to all relevant protocols
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in mechanical fitting, specifically within the shiprepair sector
Qualified as a mechanical fitter
Understanding of submarine systems and repair techniques
Ability to work in a security-sensitive environment; must be a British national
Security Clearance (SC) preferred, though candidates will be considered for clearance if not already held
Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as required
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Day Shift - £32.50/h
Back Shift - £40/h
Sunday and Weekday Night Shift - £41/h
Sunday Back/Night Shift - £44.50/h
Hours - Min. 50 per week (unlimited likely)
