MECHANICAL FITTER / MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Wrexham
Full-time
£17.70 per hour
7:30am -- 4:30pm
39 Hours plus Overtime
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Engineer to work on behalf of one of the UK's leading FMCG comapnies.
The company provide 24/7 Mechanical Maintenance support to a leading food manufacturing facility on Wrexham Industrial Estate and an opportunity has arisen to join the on-site team.
For the successful applicant we are offering:
· Starting pay rate of £17.70 per hour
· Annual 12 month rolling contract (due for renewal 1st January 2026)
· Days Monday-Friday (39-hour working week)
· Overtime available (including call-outs)
· 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays
· Auto- enrolment pension scheme
· Canteen facilities
The Role:
· Mechanical maintenance for site and machinery
· Providing efficient repair/improvements for machinery/equipment
· Reactive maintenance ensuring minimal downtime to machinery
· Carry out planned maintenance
· Respond promptly to reactive breakdown requirements and requests
· Ensuring appropriate Health, Safety, Environmental, Food Safety and Housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Time served mechanical fitter
· Minimum 3 years mechanical maintenance experience
· Proven ability to weld to an acceptable standard an advantage, but not a necessity
· Previous experience in a similar multi- skilled mechanical environment
· FMCG or food processing industry experienc
