We are currently recruiting on behalf of a renowned Central London university for a temporary Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Estates & Facilities team on an initial 6-month contract.

The Role:
As part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across the university’s buildings and infrastructure. Your work will help ensure a safe, compliant, and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, ventilation, and water systems
*
Respond to urgent faults and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner
*
Assist with compliance checks and routine inspections
*
Support project work and liaise with contractors as needed
*
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs
About You:
*
Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Similar.
*
Solid experience in a similar maintenance role
*
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical plant.
*
Good communication and organisational skills
*
Able to start at short notice and commit to a 6-month term
