Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – £34,000 + Plenty of Overtime Available
Monday to Friday – Days Only

A well-established manufacturing business is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a Monday to Friday (days only) position, offering excellent work-life balance, plenty of overtime opportunities, and long-term job stability.
Following significant recent investment across the site, the business is now enhancing its engineering department to support ongoing growth and efficiency projects.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring all machinery and equipment operates effectively to support production targets. You'll also be part of improvement projects and have the chance to work additional hours with loads of paid overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out mechanical maintenance across a wide range of production machinery
* Perform PPM, fault-finding, breakdown response, and repairs
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and site upgrades
* Maintain high health and safety standards across all engineering tasks
* Work closely with the wider engineering and production teams
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Strong mechanical skills – including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, etc.
* Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* A proactive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required
