Mechanical Project Engineer – Deliver What Others Can’t
If you’re a sharp, technically minded project engineer who wants real responsibility — not just to push paper — this is the role you’ve been looking for. This isn’t one of those jobs where you’re stuck feeding updates to someone else’s programme. Here, you’ll be front and centre on key elements of live mechanical packages, from design coordination through to site delivery.
This fast-growing M&E contractor is pushing into ever larger, more complex projects — and they’re looking for an engineer who can keep up. You’ll be working alongside project managers, design consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure every detail lands exactly as it should. From managing RFIs and snagging tender gaps, to tracking design progression, chasing procurement, and reviewing install quality — this role gives you exposure to the entire lifecycle.
What we’re looking for is someone with a mechanical background who knows how to take ownership. You should be comfortable reviewing drawings, coordinating services, resolving technical issues on site, and making sure QA procedures are tight. If you’ve got experience on commercial, residential, education or healthcare projects and can manage your time well under pressure, you’ll slot in perfectly.
You’ll be backed by a highly competent in-house team and a tech-forward business that’s built around clarity, pace, and execution. You’ll have room to grow, real opportunity to step up, and the tools to deliver — including state-of-the-art Apple kit and structured development planning.
The role is permanent, with a salary between £55,000 and £65,000 depending on experience. You’ll also get 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, and a clear path to senior engineering or project management positions if you want it.
If you're the kind of engineer who thrives on ownership and accountability — and you’re not afraid of a bit of pressure — send over your CV and let’s talk
