Mechanical Shift Technician (Days & Nights)
📍 Northwood | 12-hour Shifts | Leading Facilities Management Team

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Shift Technician to join our expert team at Northwood.
The Role
Reporting to the Shift Maintenance Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining, operating, and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical, and building services systems. This is a hands-on role as part of our 24/7 shift team, working 12-hour day/night shifts on a 28-day cycle (14 shifts on, 14 off).
What You'll Be Doing
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical , electrical systems, HVAC, fire/security systems, BMS, and more
* Diagnosing and repairing faults across site services and plant equipment
* Performing system checks to ensure full compliance with current legislation
* Collaborating with other disciplines to maintain productivity and high standards
* Using advanced monitoring tools and test equipment to support fault diagnostics and system optimisation
* Providing support beyond the NCC complex as required, with occasional overtime to cover absences and ensure continuous site support
What We're Looking For
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
* Proven working knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and other building service systems
* Experience with complex plant setups – UPS, generators, BMS, refrigeration
* Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive team player
* Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) – essential
