Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Location: Peterborough (with travel to sites as required) Salary: Competitive + Benefits Sector: M&E | Building Services Job Type: Permanent An established and respected name within the M&E space is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you will be instrumental in overseeing the on-site coordination of mechanical and electrical projects across a range of commercial and industrial environments. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe project execution, while working closely with senior management and project teams. Based out of the head office in Peterborough, you’ll also visit various sites to ensure performance aligns with client expectations and company standards. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee on-site operations across multiple projects, ensuring all work complies with quality, safety, and efficiency standards. * Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with internal teams and subcontractors. * Act as the primary on-site representative, ensuring safe systems of work and compliance with client and company procedures. * Develop and manage project timelines, risk assessments, method statements, and regular project review meetings. * Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and participate in CDM reviews. * Manage site inductions, subcontractor relationships, and on-site staff performance. * Attend resource meetings and liaise with internal departments to ensure optimal workforce allocation. * Monitor and control project costs, variations, and invoicing in coordination with the commercial team. * Regularly audit safety and quality on site and report findings to senior management. * Ensure clear communication of responsibilities, site expectations, and updates across teams. * Assist with KPI-based appraisals of supervisors and team members. * Promote and maintain strong client relationships throughout project lifecycles. * Maintain high standards of corporate identity and site presentation. Key Requirements: * Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the M&E or building services sector. * Strong working knowledge of health & safety regulations and project coordination. * Excellent leadership and people management skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. * Competent in the production and review of RAMS, timelines, and site documentation. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites when required.
