Mechanical Supervisor – Data Centre Project – Eskilstuna, Sweden
A leading European MEP contractor specialising in the delivery of large-scale data centre projects is seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join the on-site team in Eskilstuna, Sweden. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile mission-critical infrastructure build.
This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by delivering complex mechanical systems to the highest standards. Applicants must hold a valid EU passport to be considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day mechanical installation activities on-site, ensuring alignment with the project programme.
* Liaise effectively with other trades to coordinate works and avoid conflicts.
* Ensure all site operations meet safety and quality standards.
* Conduct weekly toolbox talks and prepare detailed progress reports.
* Develop two-week lookahead schedules in collaboration with the project team.
* Monitor labour productivity and ensure subcontractor efficiency.
* Supervise the delivery, storage, and handling of mechanical materials and equipment.
* Ensure all mechanical plant and access equipment is certified and operational.
* Report all variations, delays, or issues to the line manager in a timely manner.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a mechanical supervisory role within M&E or industrial construction.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems relevant to data centre environments.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
* Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate with multiple disciplines on site.
* Strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
* Proficiency in site reporting, planning tools, and Microsoft Office.
* EU passport is essential due to mobility and compliance requirements.
