My client designs and develops unique foil closures, and build cutting edge machinery that delivers, applies, and seals them to all manner of products. The Role
* My client is recruiting for a highly skilled Mechanical Technician within the Production Team. This is a hands on role for a multi-skilled technician.
Key Duties and Skills
* Carry out set up, testing and commissioning of machines for pre-delivery factory acceptance test
* Mechanical fitting of bespoke machinery
* Ability to assemble from Technical/Engineering drawings
* Understanding of Pneumatics and automation systems
* Installation of Motors, Gearboxes, Belts, Bearings, complex assemblies etc
* Use of various hand and power tools
* Machine tool exposure
* Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations
* Competent IT Skills
* Carry out any additional tasks as required from time to time, provided they are within the competence of the postholder.
* Assist the Commercial team in customer demonstrations, product trials, technical support, customer visits and at exhibitions as required. This is unlikely – would remove.
* Support the Production Team Leader with the training of the Mechanical Fitting team
* Support the ongoing development and review of SOPs
* Possibly include Fault finding and diagnosis, troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults in bespoke machinery to ensure rapid resolution.
Essential
* Excellent Mechanical Engineering skills and experience
* Experience of commissioning machines for pre-delivery
* Mechanical fitting experience with bespoke machinery
* Engineering qualifications / Apprenticeship served
* Machining skills; such as turning and millingBefore You Apply
