COURSEWARE MEDIA DEVELOPER (3D SPECIALIST) – CONTRACT
ROLE
The courseware Media Developer (3d Specialist) will have the skills and experience to support development of Customer Training electronic materials – nominally media content for courseware products. This requires close working with the Instructional Design Team to translate the initial storyboard media into high-quality & impactful training media content. You will need to be comfortable utilising engineering data and other technical references as part of the media development process. Development also requires strict adherence to a style guide and other associated standards to enable consistent media outputs.
AT THE COAL FACE / TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop training media as identified by the Instructional Design Team against the specified style guide and/or standards. Take ownership of allocated tasks whilst monitoring their own progress, quality and performance, reporting as required and seeking assistance when necessary.
Participate in and contribute to team discussions adopting and applying the direction given and complying with the required development processes.
Ensure compliance and coherence with the development plan, schedule and supporting documentation.
Utilise other toolsets as required and directed by the business (e.g. LCMS), in accordance with the directed and agreed approach.
Liaise with stakeholders & support any and all governance activities as required.
Report progress of tasks as required by more senior members of the team and/or the Media Capability Engineering Manager.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PROVEN ABILITY
Expert user of industry standard 3d modelling and animation software such as Autodesk 3d Studio Max.
Proven ability using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Ideally have previously developed technical training content for military material.
Knowledge of developing 3d content for real-time use would be beneficial.
Be comfortable with development of 3d vector-based graphics.
Be comfortable using technical and engineering source data to aid media development
