Role Accountabilities:
Deliver tailored lessons and activities focused on mental health, well-being, and emotional resilience.
Provide emotional and educational support to students facing mental health challenges.
Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external agencies to create individual support plans.
Develop coping strategies with students to help them manage their mental health within the school setting.
Foster a safe, understanding, and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and track students’ progress both academically and emotionally, providing regular updates.
Promote mental health awareness across the school community and encourage a supportive atmosphere.
Role Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching or supporting students with mental health needs is highly desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young people.
Ability to tailor learning and support to meet individual student needs.
An updated CV (covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps).
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
