BDS Recruitment are recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker based in Truro and surrounding areas.
You will be key in offering support to customers living within the community who have severe and enduring mental health diagnosis enabling them to have social inclusion and enable them to have an all round better quality of life.
You will be providing support in line with each customers personal support plan which as well as their mental health, will also include the following:
* Managing tenancies
* Working with benefits
* Education opportunities
* Volunteering in the local community
* Signposting activities and services
The candidate:
* An understanding of support needs and support planning
* Experience of risk assessing and management
* Excellent communication skills
* Confident with lone working
* Resilient and adaptable
* Knowledge of welfare and housing benefits
* A good understanding of safeguarding
An enhanced Adult/Children DBS within the last 12 months will be required.
Working hours will be 37 hours a week Monday to Friday.
This is a 2 month initial contract with the possibility of extension
Pay Rate; £14.82ph PAYE- £19.22ph UMB
