Parkinson Gray Associates delivers a proven service to some of the leading Consulting Engineering and Contracting businesses within the British construction industry, predominantly across the Building Services, Energy and Sustainability sectors. Our client is an independently owned M&E Design and Build contractor based in the North West. With a successful track record of more than 15 years, a £10 million turnover, and a diverse portfolio in Student accommodations, Leisure and Hotels, Residential, and Stadiums across the UK, they are now looking to expand their team with an MEP Manager. This is a great opportunity for somebody with several years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager willing to step into a more senior role or an already experienced MEP Manager looking for a move. You’ll be responsible for managing Luxury High End Residential and Student accommodation projects across the Manchester and Liverpool area, worth up to £3 million value. You’ll play an integral role in the construction and renovation of buildings, focusing on coordinating and completing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Location: across Merseyside & Greater Manchester area Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 (depending on the experience) + car & package Employment type: Permanent Key Responsibilities: -Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects to ensure they meet all specifications, codes, and standards. -Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate MEP systems into overall project designs, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. -Manage project budgets, including the estimation of costs related to MEP materials, labour, and equipment, and control expenses to stay within financial limits. -Schedule and supervise the installation of MEP systems, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications. -Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to ensure a clear understanding of MEP requirements and project progress. - Attending all prestart meetings reviewing the specification and drawings, ensuring that any design issues, programming issues and co-ordination issues are identified and resolved before going to site - Managing sub-contractors to ensure quality and programme targets are met As an MEP Project Manager, you will have a relevant degree qualification in construction or project management. You must have commercial awareness and strong influencing and negotiation skills. You’ll have the ability to present with confidence and the ability to deliver to deadlines. Up to date knowledge of the construction market and a broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation is essential
