Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Metal Toolmaker to manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for metal component production. Must have hands-on toolmaking experience and knowledge of technical drawings, machining processes, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files for tool creation.
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
Repair and modify existing tools to meet production requirements.
Test and adjust tools to ensure compliance with tolerances.
Collaborate with design engineers to improve tool designs and efficiency.
Maintain tool records and ensure safety and quality standards.Qualifications:
3-5 years of toolmaking experience.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and using machine tools.
Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatment processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Trade qualification in Toolmaking or equivalent (e.g., Certificate III/IV in Engineering - Toolmaking).Preferred Skills:
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.Salary & Hours:
£35,000 per annum
1 Hour Lunch Break
