£14.91 per hour, inc benefits
Hartlepool
Temporary, full-time with possibility to permanent
Our client is a genuine employer of choice in the region and this is an exciting opportunity to join as a Meter Technician. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and excels in customer service.
Day-to-day of the role:
Obtain accurate readings from water meters.
Carry out meter exchanges.
Collect data.
Provide excellent customer service, acting as the customer’s champion.
Complete meter reading related operations ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Identify and report maintenance needs, meter exchanges, and potential leaks.
Conduct flow tests, replace lids, complete void inspections, and confirm correct plots to postal addresses.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficient in using handheld computers for data collection.
Strong customer service orientation.
Manual Driving Licence to be able to drive a company vehicle
The successful candidate will need to be based within 30 minutes of Hartlepool and be ability to walk 3 to 8 miles per day.
