Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £95 - £110 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 32.5 Hours per Week, 08:00 am to 15:00 pm (30-minute lunch break)
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Midday Learning Support Assistant in Chesterfield, to work within a supportive SEN environment that caters for pupils with a wide range of behavioural and educational needs.
As a Midday Learning Support Assistant, You will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the school day, supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for learners with special educational needs.
Midday Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, ODD, and SEMH
Assist students in their learning and engagement throughout the school day
Supervise and encourage positive behaviour during midday breaks
Work one-to-one and in small group settings as needed
Support class teachers with lesson resources and classroom routines
Promote the development of independence and social interaction skills
Requirements for Midday Learning Support Assistant:
Experience working in an SEN or school as a Midday Learning Support Assistant setting is essential
Must be a driver with business insurance, this role is based on Mileage pay
Comfortable working with pupils with varying levels of need and behaviour
CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Teaching Support or Childcare (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, flexible, and empathetic approach to support
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
