Mobile Fitter – Mechanical / Diesel Pumps
Location: Various UK Sites (as specified)
Salary: Competitive + Overtime + Company Vehicle
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
A leading provider in the pump rental industry is looking for a Mobile Fitter to join their busy PRS (Pump Rental Solutions) team. This is a field-based role ideal for someone with solid mechanical skills and experience in servicing and repairing diesel-powered equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Service, repair and maintain a fleet of diesel pumps and ancillary equipment
*
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults both in the workshop and on customer sites
*
Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
*
Complete inspection reports and submit job details via tablet system
*
Travel across various UK locations to meet customer requirements
*
Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and complies with Health & Safety regulations
*
Maintain company vehicle and ensure tools and van stock are in good order
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
*
Proven mechanical experience (e.g., diesel engines, pumps, or similar)
*
Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
*
Over 21 (for insurance purposes)
*
Flexible with travel, working outdoors, and occasional overtime/weekends
*
Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Desirable:
*
ONC or Level 2 BTEC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
*
Site safety awareness (e.g., knowledge of isolation procedures, CSCS card)
*
Experience on construction or utility sites
