A skilled Mobile Maintenance Engineer is required to provide responsive, high-quality maintenance services across a variety of sites within a critical operations portfolio. The role includes hands-on delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, minor installation works, and coordination with specialist subcontractors when necessary. Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine scheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with asset maintenance requirements, technical documentation, and site procedures
* Attend to reactive maintenance requests, fault-finding, and diagnosis on mechanical and/or electrical building services systems
* Carry out minor remedial and quoted works in line with client expectations and service standards
* Provide site presence and oversight during specialist subcontractor visits to ensure safe and compliant completion of outsourced works
* Escalate works that require additional labour, materials, or expertise, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution
* Maintain accurate digital and paper-based records for all completed tasks, suitable for audit purposes
* Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including dynamic risk assessments and permit systems
* Support asset data collection, audits, and on-site surveys when requested
* Actively promote safe working practices, energy efficiency, and service quality at every opportunity
* Participate in on-call rota and respond to out-of-hours emergencies as required
Qualifications & Experience
Essential (one or more of the following):
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC disciplines
City & Guilds Level 3 in a relevant trade
ONC/HNC in Building Services or Engineering
Time-served technical apprenticeship in building maintenance or similar
Experience & Skills:
* At least 2 years of experience delivering maintenance within commercial or technical environments
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability on both mechanical and electrical systems
* Good working knowledge of building plant, HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and controls
