Multi Skilled Engineer – Recycling Equipment
📍 Location: Shrewsbury (On-site) with occasional travel

Specialising in equipment support across the country, they offer services including breakdown response, plant installations, baler repairs, conveyor overhauls, and more. Their skilled engineering team is known for delivering high-quality results within agreed timeframes and supporting long-term customer partnerships.
🛠️ Role Overview
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone confident with a range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ideally used in recycling plants but not required. Based in Shrewsbury, you’ll work across a variety of client sites, carrying out breakdown repairs, maintenance, installations, and relocations of recycling equipment. Emergency servicing will also form part of the role.
✅ Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out breakdowns, repairs, and servicing on recycling machinery
* Maintenance and fault-finding on MRFs, balers, conveyors, and plant equipment
* Supporting equipment installations, relocations, and commissioning
* Working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
* Delivering quality work across both emergency and planned maintenance jobs
🧰 Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering knowledge
* Experience with MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) systems, balers, and conveyors is a desirable.
* Understanding of plant installations and commissioning processes is beneficial.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Engineering qualifications or relevant certifications (desirable)Before You Apply
