Stonegate Farmers are looking to expand their engineering team based at our facility in Wiltshire. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all plant and equipment at Stonegate Farmers. You will be responsible for performing preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance tasks, minimising downtime, and supporting production by ensuring machinery operates at optimum performance.

Role & Responsibilities:
* Performing routine maintenance on production equipment (Grading machines and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps and shaft drives)
* Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full.
* Assist team to work towards maximising plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised.
* Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed.
* Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
* To ensure appropriate contingency stock is available on shelf for all planned maintenance and flag any shortfall of these parts.
* Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
* Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements.
* Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and industry regulations (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
* Operate within a Clean As You Go policy request and provide assistance to the process technicians where required

Qualifications / Experience:
* Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
* Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environment.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and safe working practices
* Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
* Competent with CMMS systems and maintenance reporting
