Job Description
A highly regarded and inclusive secondary school in Christchurch is looking to appoint a talented Music Teacher for a September start. The school has a strong reputation for its performing arts provision, and music plays a vital role in student development, identity, and community life.
The music department offers a rich and varied curriculum, including composition, performance, music theory, and music technology. Students regularly participate in choirs, ensembles, and public concerts, and the school is proud of its partnerships with local arts organisations.
You will teach KS3 and KS4 Music, and potentially KS5 depending on experience. Your role will include preparing students for performances and qualifications, developing inclusive resources, and supporting a range of extra-curricular musical activities.
The ideal candidate will hold QTS and a degree in Music or a related field. You’ll bring enthusiasm, excellent musicianship, and a passion for inclusive teaching. Experience with music software such as Sibelius or Logic is desirable. An enhanced DBS is required.
