Music Teacher at an Outstanding Wandsworth School – September 2025 Start
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Music Teacher to join a leading, Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in the vibrant London Borough of Wandsworth. This full-time, permanent role, commencing September 2025, is ideal for a dynamic Music Teacher looking to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5) within a flourishing Performing Arts department known for its diverse opportunities and excellent facilities.
As a Music Teacher, You Will:
* Plan and deliver a diverse and engaging Music curriculum to students across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to contribute to KS5 (A-Level Music or vocational equivalents).
* Inspire a passion for music through innovative teaching, practical musicianship (instrumental and/or vocal), and the exploration of a wide range of musical genres and traditions.
* Lead and contribute to a rich extracurricular programme, including school choirs, bands, ensembles, and various performances, showcasing student talent.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their musical development and a love for the subject as a Music Teacher.
* Utilise the school's excellent music facilities and resources to create a stimulating learning environment.
As a Music Teacher, You Offer:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A strong degree in Music or a closely related discipline.
* Proven experience and success in teaching Music at the secondary level, with the ability to engage students across different Key Stages.
* Proficiency in at least one instrument or voice, and a broad understanding of music theory and practice.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills, essential for an effective Music Teacher.
