NPI Development Engineer
Camberley | £35,000 – £45,000 DOE | Permanent, Full Time

We’re hiring an NPI Development Engineer to play a critical role in the journey from R&D to manufacturing — developing prototypes, refining designs, and making sure products are ready for the real world.
What you’ll be doing:

Turning early-stage concepts into buildable, testable prototypes
*
Working closely with R&D, design, and manufacturing to ensure seamless transitions into production
*
Identifying and resolving production snags, quality issues, and integration challenges
*
Creating documentation and test procedures to support production and validation
*
Contributing ideas to enhance product design, build efficiency, and robustness
*
Coordinating with internal and external teams during the full product lifecycle
What we’re looking for:
*
Experience in product development, NPI, or manufacturing engineering
*
Comfortable working with both mechanical and electronic systems
*
Able to read technical drawings and specs, and spot potential issues before they arise
*
Familiar with working across departments — R&D, design, production, quality, etc.
*
Detail-oriented, hands-on, and solution-focused
*
Excellent communicator and team collaborator
Bonus points for:
*
Experience with tooling and test equipment design
*
Knowledge of product compliance, certification, or quality processes
*
Understanding of supply chain/manufacturing constraints
*
Previous experience with lab-based testing or prototyping
