We're Hiring: SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location: Blackburn Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications Start Date: June 2025 Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young children? We are currently recruting for a nursery in Blackburn, we're looking for a compassionate, experienced, and highly organised SENDCo to join our warm and inclusive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting the development and wellbeing of children with additional needs in a nurturing early years environment. Key Responsibilities: Identify, support, and track the progress of children with special educational needs Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies to create and review individual support plans Ensure the nursery meets all statutory requirements under the SEND Code of Practice Provide guidance and training to colleagues to support inclusive practice across the nursery Champion an inclusive culture where every child can thrive What We're Looking For: Level 3 or above in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) SENDCo qualification (or willingness to work towards it) Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in an early years setting Excellent communication, teamwork, and record-keeping skills A warm, patient, and proactive attitude We Offer: A supportive and friendly team environment Opportunities for professional development and training Well-resourced nursery with a strong focus on inclusion and child-centred learning Regular staff wellbeing activities and benefits If you're ready to make a lasting impact on young lives and help shape a brighter future for every child, we'd love to hear from you.
