Job Role: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Salary: Band 5–7 NHS equivalent (£29,000–£45,000 pa, pro rata DOE)
Job Type: Full-time or part-time, permanent
Location: In-person across Hertfordshire and surrounding counties, including work from the clinic and external sites.
NO SPONSORSHIP available for this role. You must have the PERMANENT RIGHT TO WORK in the UK.

All About You
• A qualified Speech and Language Therapist with full HCPC registration.
• Demonstrate expertise or a passion for working with children with complex communication and neurological needs.
• Knowledge or experience in AAC systems and supporting children with a wide range of communication difficulties.
• Exhibit strong clinical and communication skills, coupled with the ability to write high-quality assessments and reports.
• Experience or interest in working with children with ASC and emotional regulation strategies (desirable but not essential for new graduates).
What Will You Be Doing?
• Deliver expert Speech and Language Therapy services to children and young adults with complex communication needs, including those requiring AAC systems.
• Design and implement bespoke therapy programs tailored to individual client requirements.
• Manage and evaluate a caseload of children with varying levels of ASC and neurological challenges.
• Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Contribute to research and evidence-based practices to enhance service quality.
• Take part in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide training to parents, educators, and colleagues.
• Develop innovative therapy services, including group sessions and digital support networks.
• Support supervision of students and induction of new team members.
Working Hours and Environment
Flexible work environment offering a hybrid of clinic-based, remote, and external site work. Expected hours vary based on contract type and workload.
