Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. The Panel Beater will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship.
Duties
* Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs required.
* Use hand tools and power tools to remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle panels.
* Weld and assemble parts as needed to restore structural integrity.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
* Follow schematics and technical drawings to complete repairs accurately.
* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.
* Perform equipment repair and maintenance as required to ensure optimal performance of tools.
* Assist in heavy lifting tasks when moving large panels or components.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
* Previous experience in customer service is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to interact positively with clients.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics is highly desirable.
