Part Time HR Assistant

An established manufacturing business is looking for a part-time HR Assistant to provide essential support across a range of HR functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys working with people and processes.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Keep the HR database current by logging changes such as new joiners, departures, and contract updates.
Respond to general HR-related enquiries from staff, offering clear and timely guidance.
Assist with the preparation of HR correspondence, including employment confirmations and reference letters.
Support the administration of performance reviews and probationary evaluations.
Help manage the recruitment cycle by liaising with agencies, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
Organise health assessments for employees and follow up on any required actions.
Conduct background checks and ensure all pre-employment screening is completed.
Facilitate exit processes, including interviews and documentation, and compile feedback for analysis.
Provide administrative support on employee relations matters under the guidance of the HR Manager.Candidate Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in HR administration or a related role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
Holds a CIPD Level 3 qualification or has equivalent practical knowledge.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with a professional and approachable manner.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling sensitive data.
Familiarity with HR software systems and confident using Microsoft Office tools.
Able to work discreetly with confidential information and maintain professional integrity.
