PDC Technician
Location: Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (site operational between 6:00am – 7:00pm)
Contract Type: Permanent
Igloo is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive company based in Chipping Warden. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a strong national presence and a reputation for excellence in the automotive industry.
Role Overview
As a PDC Technician, you will be responsible for conducting Pre-Delivery Checks (PDCs) and vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle health checks and PDI/PDC inspections to manufacturer specifications
* Accurately complete documentation using the AssetCare system
* Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency and productivity
* Report any vehicle defects to the Damage Controller in a timely manner
* Perform minor repairs, routine servicing, and tyre replacements when required
* Ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean and safe condition
* Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant working environment
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* City & Guilds Level 1 and 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies (or equivalent)
* Demonstrable experience working within a vehicle workshop
* Strong focus on quality, safety, and professionalism
Desirable:
* Manufacturer-specific training or certifications
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently
* A positive, proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
