About the School:
We are a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in West Sussex, committed to providing a broad and balanced education that supports both academic achievement and personal development. Physical Education is a valued part of our curriculum, and we are looking to strengthen our department with a skilled and reliable PE teacher.
The Role:
We are seeking a PE teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the PE curriculum, a practical approach to teaching, and the ability to foster positive attitudes towards fitness and wellbeing. There may also be opportunities to contribute to KS5 and whole-school sport initiatives.
Duties Will Include:

Planning and delivering engaging and accessible PE lessons.

Assessing and tracking student progress in line with school policy.

Maintaining high standards of behaviour and participation during lessons.
*
Supporting a wide range of extracurricular activities, including after-school sports clubs and fixtures.

Contributing to departmental planning and school-wide events (e.g. Sports Day).
*
Working closely with colleagues to promote health, resilience, and teamwork across the student body.
Who We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in PE or a related field.
*
Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
*
Confident in delivering a range of sports and physical activities.
*
Clear communicator with strong organisational skills.
*
Able to manage time and workload effectively.
*
Willing to support the wider life of the school, including clubs and events.
